Sitting outside underneath the towering trees as the incandescent sun rays seep through the branches, at Le Petit Prince, is the perfect way to start your day. Inspired by the novel, this relaxing cafe is embellished with subtle decorations of the characters from the book such as a toy fox and the little prince himself.
The menu is thoughtfully divided into three sections, catering to different types brunch addicts: the light, the healthy and the rich. After a few recommendations from the friendly staff who was serving us that Saturday morning, I decided to choose the Brioche french toast, surprise surprise. I am a complete sucker for sweets, especially when the dish is beautifully presented complete with an interactive element of maple syrup pouring. I always love the concept of this as one can adjust how much condiment is required to accomodate their tastebuds. The french toast was accompanied by matcha soil that provides extra texture as well as refreshing strawberries and a poached pear to balance the dish.
For those safer savoury option that will guarantee satisfaction, the mushroom and chorizo is the way to go, complete with carbs, protein and veggies. The buttery mushroom was perfectly seasoned and you can never go wrong with adding avocado on your toast.
